Al mal tiempo is a Mexican proverb translating "Put a good face to bad weather, be positive.”
Finding the positive in things was a very hard thing to do in the past, but has become much easier when practicing and meditating.
This is my first month of being happy, no matter the conditions surrounding me. It’s not something that was easy, and although sometimes may seem impossible to get through, the other part knows its not.
What affects me most with feeling happy or sad is the influences or people surrounding. It becomes difficult when something meaningful to you isn't important or subpart to others.
That wasn’t the case in mexico,
I fell in love with the sunset every evening, and the stars every night.
The music and my body understood each other.
The best part was the people of Mexico, how they understood how beautiful their land was. How they never took the sounds of the animals for granted, or how they could stand and watch the ocean without the use of a cellphone.
Something in the native roots felt more at home with nature, and I felt more at peace than with faces i’ve seen hundreds of times.
If you’re ever in a place of comfort, the beach, forest, open plain; close your eyes and take a deep breath, really embrace the sounds and breeze, the smell and feeling of the land surrounding you and I promise you, I promise you, you’ll appreciate and love it more than you ever had before.
During the time in Cancun and Cozumel, we stayed in beautiful places (which is really any place out there. seriously you couldn’t go wrong)
